We added the attached image to our orientation presentation this year to help explain DAFs. It doesn't cover all the other facets of our organization (discretionary, programs, etc.), but for those new to CFs and DAFs in general, we found it very helpful.

Hello,
We have a new Board member and during his orientation he asked me if there was a visual chart or graphic that would be representative of a community foundation. I thought it was an intriguing idea however, once I started to design one on PowerPoint, it became more challenging than the simplistic version of the 3-legged stool of $$ in, $$ invested & $$ distributed back out into the community.
I am wondering if any of you have a chart or graphic that you have used in board orientations or for your community groups, etc. that visually describes a CF.
